Whitney Taveras
Whitney Taveras brings over 15 years of experience in cultivating relationships and delivering exceptional service to her role as Director of Industry Engagement (Equipment) at the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS). As a key member of the Industry Engagement team, Whitney leads efforts to deliver value for the equipment and moldmakers industry segment, covering the entire supply chain of equipment, including auxiliary, injection molding, blow molding, hot runners, components, and moldmaking. She is responsible for the management of the PLASTICS Equipment Council and related portfolio of activities, including the Machinery Safety Standards Committee and the Committee on Equipment Statistics. Prior to this role, Whitney served as the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at PLASTICS, where she played a pivotal role in ensuring the Association’s financial health through strategic budgeting, business planning, revenue generation, and fostering internal collaboration. Whitney’s transition to her current role is informed by her deep understanding of PLASTICS’ operations, having interfaced with every internal department during her tenure. This comprehensive insight allows her to appreciate how each department contributes to the Association’s success and member satisfaction. Joining PLASTICS in November 2015, Whitney previously held various management positions within residential property management. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Baldwin Wallace University in 2006.
